Overview
This is a project that I've been assigned to as part of an UI/UX Design Course I have been attending for three months at IT School Timisoara.
The concept explores the design of a mobile mental health app focused on reducing stress and anxiety through simple, calming and guided interactions.
Challenges
Most mental health apps feel overwhelming, generic, or too complex for users in moments of emotional stress. At the same time, businesses in this space struggle with retention and long-term engagement.

Research Insights
Behavioral Insight
Users engage more consistently when the app feels calm, predictable, and requires minimal decision-making - especially in emotionally vulnerable moments.Business Context
Low long-term engagement due to generic experiences - here comes the need for a stronger user retention in a highly competitive wellness app market.Product Opportunity
Design a guided lightweight experience that builds emotional trust through personalization and tone.
Solution
Design a lightweight, emotionally supportive experience that reduces cognitive load and encourages consistent usage.
Main user flow
The main flow focuses on quick onboarding and immediate access to emotional support tools.
Onboarding → Mood Check-in → Personalized recommendation → Exercise (breathing / calming activity)
